Maserati's are just about status. I drive a brand NEW 2010 BMW M6 Convertable which is like a 650i but with a better and bigger engine. My car is WAY more powerful than a 2008 maserati. According to consumer reports, the M6 is an all around better car. You should get a 2008 M6 if you dont have as much money to be spending on a new car. This is my first car and I love it. 500hp it accelerates very fast about 0-60 in 4 seconds. Everyone at my high school looks in awe lol. I also saw you were looking to buy FAKE lacoste shirts on ebay, how distasteful. If you cant afford real lacoste shirts or a maserati maybe you should look at like a 2001 KIA! Have there been any other recalls on the 07 Maserati Quattroporte besides the control arm on front suspension?

How long do Maserati's last (in terms of mileage) ?
I'm looking at a 2005 Quattroporte with 57k miles, for 40k$.
Does anyone know how long these cars usually last..or what I should expect if buying with this many miles?|||my suggestion is to have it looked over even if u pay someone to do it for u. do a compression test and an oil pressure test. those will really tell u what kind of condition the engine is in! look at the inside of the oil fill cap see if it has gunk or sludge or chuks or discolored. and definitely not creamy which would mean it has a blown headgasket. that should have a ferrari motor in it which if i am correct is a 4.0l 8 cylinder 400bhp high compression engine so it is a high maintainence car! dont overev if ita hs a manual gearbox. its not going to be a 300,000 mile car but if well maintained you can probably get 200,000 but it will loose some compression well before then. really have it properly inspected man. a few hundred dollars could save u thousands!!!! and maybe even from making a 40,000 dollar mistake!!! u wouldnt buy a house without having someone look at it would u? where do u live maybe i can look at it for u. sorry its a 4.2l motor look at this review have u driven it? these guys weren't pleased with its performance from what i read maybe thats y its for sale dont be a label whore just because its a maseratti doesn't mean its a great car honestly i would buy japanese before i even look at anything else look at infinity or lexus or acura u can get a new car for what they want for that used 1. and the plentifulness of the jap cars mean parts and service r going to be much more affordable. i would go with a acura honda has provn technology and they stand behind their product and their WARRENTY! u can contact me if u have any questions i would be happy 2 help u man.|||Jeremy tested the new zr-1 on top gear this week it is bad a** that a 100000 car man im not sure what ur taste is but if u have money like that go to nissan and check out the nissan skyline GTR its awd and it has a 3.8l v6 twin turbo charged put out close to 500 bhp and is a 0-6- 3.5 sec car all for

What's the story on a 2004 - 2006 Maserati Coupe?
I've noticed that the coupe with the F1 transmission resells for much, much lower that a new car. There are some really low mileage cars for reasonable prices. Is this car a lemon? Why are they so cheap?|||The car has really low popularity and thus low resale value. 2006 Maserati Quattroporte invoice cost, factory incentives and factory hold back?
I need as much of the following as you can get. For the 2005 and 2006 Maserati Quattroporte Base model, Executive GT model and Sport GT model: the invoice cost, amount of factory incentive and amount of factory hold back. I already know the MSRP for these three models are $103,700, $115,900, and $112,200, respectively. A quick search on Google yielded no info.

If Ferrari uses it in their top of the line sports cars, how can it be a joke? All Formula 1 Cars, which is the pinnacle of racing use them.. Putting a Viper or Vette engine inside of a bentley or maserati?
Could I put a viper engine inside, say, a bentley continental flying spur? The engines they put in those cars are so unreliable that it might be best to rid of them altogeather. My question is, can it even be done? And for how much money? I want a luxury exotic on the outside with a fast, american motor on the inside; the best of both worlds really. If you have been pre-determined to have the cash to purchase, they'll let you test drive. If not, don't be surprised if they turn their nose up at you.

I just purchased a new Maserati Quattroporte. I use this car reguarly. Where can I find good insurance?
I have looked around for high end insurance plans, but all of them require a second vehicle and do not cover this vehicle for regular use (daily commute or errands). I need a good insurance policy that will cover OEM parts, and will cover the full value of the car.|||I'm going to assume that maybe you've paid for the car, but you haven't taken possession yet, because a dealer who follows the rules won't let you drive the car without proof of insurance.
Anyway, it shouldn't be a hardship to have to own a 2nd vehicle to get this insured, for two reasons:
1. If you can afford a new maserati, you can afford a 2nd car.
2. You'll need a 2nd car for when your maserati is in the shop, which will happen (this isn't a Toyota!)

Does the maserati quattroporte include entertainment system?
When I went to the car configuration there was no rear entertainment system as option. The web says it has one as an option though.|||I am pretty sure it is an option on the new Maserati Quattroporte GTS. I am not sure if it is an option on standard models. The GTS however, from my research, does show the option. Not only that, you get the additional punch of the new GTS engine thanks to enlarged displacement. WIN WIN!

Is a 2002 maserati spyder a good choice for a daily driver?
im considering getting a 2002 maserati spyder with less than 50k miles. i was trying to find out if it is a good daily driver? also i wanted to know how expensive it is to maintain. do you need to tune it every year how much is it for changing the oil. I really want this car but i want to be able to afford to take care of it.|||What you ought to know is that Maserati are extremely expensive to maintain. They are often called the poor man's Ferrari, and that's exactly what they are. A Maserati will make you a poor man. $3-4,000 brake jobs every 6-8k miles, $300 oil changes every 4 months, a $10,000 clutch job every 15-18k miles stack up very quickly. You will need about $15-20k a year to keep a 2002-ish Maserati running as a daily driver, and if memory serves me correctly, the new Gran Turismo is no better than its older sibling.
Maintenance isn't the only thing you have to worry about. Some owners have been complaining about electric motors of all kinds failing after just a few hundred miles. The Cambiocorsa transmission is brilliant at high speeds or in enthousiastic driving, but you won't be doing a lot of that. With that transmission, it's not a matter of IF it will break... it's a matter of WHEN. And when it does, you can count on a $10,000 part on the estimate, as well as over 48 hours in technician time, at $130-150/hour, at a Ferrari/Maserati dealership, or anywhere from $50-80/hour at an authorized repair shop (ex.: Prancing Horse Ltd. here in Montreal). At that point you will have no choice but to bend over and take it up your **** if you want your car on the road.
If you have the money, just go for a Nissan GTR or even, to some extent, an Audi R8. Better performance to boot, and less expensive to maintain. But you just can't beat the acoustics of a Ferrari V8, especially if you have a Tubi exhaust hanging out the back end.

how much do car sales men at ferrari/maserati dealerships make yearly best guess thanks! im thinking about that as a carrer only if it pays in the 100,000...500,000|||Not as much as you'd think. Exotic car sales is a low volume business. I would wager than someone who does well selling cars at a Nissan or Honda or Ford or Toyota dealership would make more. When I sold cars, the top salesmen at the Ford place I worked at was make around 250k a year, he had such a huge return customer base, that his customers actually had to make appointments with him so he could sell them a car. That's very, very rare to see the car sales business. However even if you're an average salesman and sell 10-12 cars a month, you can still make a comfortable living. I know a guy who sells Porsches for a living, he might move 5 cars a month. And he makes around $75k a year. It should be mentioned that selling cars means long hours. Start thinking 60+ hour work weeks. When I sold Nissans you worked 6 days a week 9 A.M. to 9:00 PM (11 :00 PM on weekends) You got one day a week off for two weeks out of the month and and every other Wednesday/Thursday off depending on your assigned schedule. When I was with Ford it was 9:00 AM-9:00 PM Mon-Sat for everyone, the dealership was closed Sunday. I quite because I could make similar money (guaranteed money at that) working in IT and only have a normal 40 hour work week.

i saw a maserati gran turismo today in the city and my friend was talking a lot of crap about how the audi r8 is so much better. i, on the other hand, would rather have a maserati than the r8....what about you?|||As a piece of engineering the Audi R8 is a fabulous car with supercar baiting performance and road presence. However, out of the two i'd go for the Maserati. It's drop dead gorgeous with a wonderful and charismatic 4.2-litre V8. How to put a manual maserati in reverse?
Does anyone know how to put this car in reverse? I press in the clutch and tried pulling the shifter all the way over and pulling it down into reverse and it just puts it in second gear. I have tried pulling up and pushing down on the shifter like you do in BMWs and Audis and nothing works. The gas pedal of my 1985 Maserati BiTurbo popped off how do I put it back on?
It is a ball and socket joint but there is no space to maneuver. I tried to use brute force with one hand but it wasn't enough. Tools wouldn't fit either. Hope you can help.|||maybe you shouldn't let next door neighbors pretend like they are racing the car.|||Warm up the socket part with a hair dryer thereby expanding it and making it easier to snap back on the ball---a little soap solution may help it slide back on. May have to use a rubber mallet to pop it on also. How would you classify a maserati?
I had a debate with my friend over whether Maserati's are sports cars or luxury cars. What do you think?|||Both of course, but I'd say sports cars first. They look sporty and have great performance, first of all. But of course Bentleys also have those features and I'd consider Bentleys to be more of luxury cars. I guess it just has to do more with the company history. Maserati has had a history of sports cars and racing, while Bentley has been known as a luxury car marque. Bentley doesn't have anything like the MC12, for example, which is purely a sports car. I also think the Gran Turismo just looks more exotic than any other luxury car out there. And even though the Quattroporte looks less exotic (but no less gorgeous), you can't deny the sound:

How badly does a Maserati Quattroporte depreciate?
I want a maserati quattroporte, i want to buy one used. (I decided to buy all my cars used no matter what they are) At the rate that the Quattroporte depreciates, when will they cost in the $40,000 range. I know certain high end cars do not keep value well, so when will it be in that range?|||Unless you find one that has been wreck and has a salvage title, you are going to pay at least $50,000. The search I did covered the entire United States.

I was wondering how much an average Maserati costs. Especially the Grandturismo. I will soon get a brand-new car. My budget is $100,000. I was wondering what luxury sports car will be suitable for a 16 year-old. Please list a few brands and names of the convertibles. Also Porsche 911 is great because you can get All Wheel Drive.|||If i were you, i wouldn't buy a luxury sports car. Your insurance rates will be ungodly expensive as a brand new driver in the first place, but with a sports car they will go WAY up. If you want a fast car, get a tuner and put some money into the performance and detailing. For flair, buy a tuner and get some aftermarket body parts installed. Supra's are some of the best tuners on the market right now. You can pack a **** ton of horsepower into them and get some SICK body mods.|||No wonder America is hated the world over.
You don't need a $100k car just because daddy can afford one, you'll just wrap it around a tree or even worse hit someone else with it.
No advice for you.|||No 16 year old person should be driving a $100,000 car. Your first car should be either your parents old one or a used one that you get for like $5,000 or less.
